Our company is a member of the company of the Federation of employers\‘ associations of the Slovak Republic, German-Slovak chamber of industry and commerce, Slovak Chamber of industry and commerce.

Our colleagues are members of many professional groups preparing analysis for the state institution with the target: get the relevant and market based actual data for the process improvements in legislation.

The number of our staff varies from the season and the market demand. In the high season it can count up to 160 lectors combined from internal employees and long-time contractors from freelancers.

2. EVBB – Europäischer Verband Beruflicher Bildungsträger – European Association of Institutes for Vocational Training

The birth of EVBB – Europäische Verband Beruflicher Bildungsträger – dates back in the Ninenties, when the first vocational education institutes in Germany decided to join forces in order to address the challenges that a quickly changing sector was confronting them with.

Completely renewed in 2010, today the European Association of Institutes for Vocational Training is an umbrella association gathering an heterogenous range of educational providers in the common interest of enhancing, upgrading and harmonising Vocational Education and Training (VET) at European level. In accordance with its Statutes, the duty of the European Association of Institutes for Vocational Training promotes youths and adults alike in the following areas:

  • providing a liberal education in terms of social, economic and sociopolitical issues taking particular consideration of European policies and policies towards the developing world based on a socially binding, liberal economic and social order,
  • promoting technical, vocational or industrial qualification, continuing education and advanced training in addition to retraining,
  • providing scientific education,
  • providing education with regard to personal or family issues,
  • promoting qualification, continuing education and advanced training in the fields of geriatric care, work with the disabled and nursing services,
  • developing media and its use,
  • promoting environmental qualification.

EVBB mission lies in breaking down traditional hierarchies between VET and higher education and promoting the qualitative improvement of vocational schools and training and in promoting VET as a first choice. EVBB has more than 60 members from all over the world coming from both the private and the public sector and covering all fields related to initial, advanced and further education and training. Beyond that, the European Association of Institutes for Vocational Training (EVBB) has set the following tasks for itself:

  • It takes a stand on the fundamental questions of vocational training and encourages the advancement of positions at EU level.
  • It represents the common interests of its members and the European institutes in public and in front of national and supranational authorities, the European Parliament, the European Commission, European institutes and national institutes and authorities.
  • It promotes cooperation among its members and encourages building networks between them, organizing vocational education in the member states and at a European level.
  • It sets up quality criteria for the work in vocational education to which all members are bound.
  • It organizes national and international specialist conferences at which the future prospects for vocational education and training are worked out, positions and points of view and the examples for successful projects in national or European policies are presented as good practice.
  • Workshops, courses and seminars are conducted within the scope of the EVBB’s own European projects and those of its members.
  • Together with the Adalbert Kitsche Foundation, the EVBB awards at its annual conference the “DIE EUROPA” Prize for innovative projects to promote disadvantaged youths.

Neither politically nor denominationally affiliated, EVBB strives for a borderless, pluralistic and fulfilling education as an essential means to shape our democracy and society. Its activities are not focused on business operations or making a profit. It serves solely and exclusively non-profit purposes within the meaning of the General Fiscal Law as it is valid in the Federal Republic of Germany.

EVBB’s permanent staff is based in the EU headquarters so to keep on a close on-going dialogue with EU institutions.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3. AKMI

The Institute of Vocational Training AKMI was founded back in 1989 and today it is one of the leading Vocational Training Institutes in Greece providing post-secondary education, with more than 37.500 m2 of infrastructure in various cities in Greece, including one of the most highly profiled Campuses in the Country.

Every year, approx. 14,000+ active students are enrolled with the aim to study one of the 107 specialties, in more than 340 laboratories offered in 6 cities across Greece:

  • Athens,
  • Piraeus,
  • Thessaloniki,
  • Crete,
  • Larissa,

The fields of study in the campuses of Athens are numerous and in all of them, AKMI SA gives the students tools to collaborate and problem solve, brainstorm and reflect and encourage them to use their passions for good. Apart from the technical part of learning, the experienced educators ensure an inclusive community among the students and cultivate a safe environment, allowing them to open up, discover new directions and ultimately, helping them create a new mindset. With the help of the education that AKMI SA provides, the youth can promote competitive issues like analytical precision, envisioning future scenarios and decision-making. Social Inclusion and Gender Gap are other important issues which the youth can reform and that way resolve through education. Creating suitable peaceful conditions and working for security are the other developments which the youth can achieve through education.

In one word, AKMI SA hopes that with proper education, the youth can become productive, scientific-oriented, broad-minded, and ideal citizens of the society as the society is significantly influenced by this category of people.

The abovementioned cities consists of the 80% of the total population in Greece and AKMI S.A. represents almost 60% of total Private VET sector in Greece. It is the most appropriate partner to take on the designing of the study material, the training and the examination of the supervisors.

Excellency has been proven for AKMI S.A. multiple times with International and National Awards, including:

  • Golden Award of Facility Design and Laboratory excellence
  • Golden Award for providing access to the labor market services in the 2017 Education Business Awards!

Success has been acknowledged with the Diamonds of the Greek Economy Award 2016, a significant distinction where AKMI was for its educational excellence, a high level of infrastructure and equipment and business innovation that brought it to the country’s largest educational strength. Innovation has been approved through the Global Education Innovation Award in 2015 from PRAXIS MMT, while all Studies have been accredited from the European Foundation of Quality Management (EFQM). AKMI also has numerous accreditations from different institutes and sectors e.g. Alain Ducasse Education, Pearson- The world’s leading learning company, ITEC- Education & Media Services, AHLEI- American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute etc.

Overall the Institute employs approximately 950 people as permanent staff, while it is collaborating with a multitude of teachers who are entrusted with the delivery of courses to students. The permanent administrative staff of the AKMI institution is 170 professional individuals, expertise to inspire educators and academic staff recognized for their innovative research and teaching standards, thus forming an enthusiastic and highly-motivated community in the Educational Training Center.

The qualified educators are 600+ in number having critical and evaluation skills in collaborating with the admin staff for the division of the students into groups and classes according to their qualifications, language knowledge, critical thinking and mindset. The majority of the educators cooperate and manage, in collaboration with the admin office, the total administration of the summer schools, mobility programs, training seminars and lectures, social and cultural events.

The 342 well equipped laboratories for each specialty, the amphitheatres, the classrooms and the recreation areas, create excellent conditions and ideal conditions for a perfect educational result, for a pleasant stay in the school for all our students.  AKMI SA has a Digital Cinema and TV Platform, Fully Equipped Multimedia Workstations, Data/Voice Network Infrastructure, Studio Health & Beauty, Macintosh Platforms, Internet Room, Digital Suites, Sound & Music Multiplex Studios, Engineering, Pedagogical Labs, Ultra-modern Kitchens, Hairdressing Laboratories.

Another accomplishment that AKMI is proud of, is the creation of the AKMI radio, in order to empower and give voice to its young students. It consists of a 10-hour daily radio program and is produced by the students of AKMI S.A. in studio broadcasts and recordings equipped with professional specifications. The program is aimed at young listeners from 18 to 25 years old from 35 different countries.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4. Private Vocational Highschool DSA Nitra

Private Vocational Highschool DSA Nitra is part of DSA network of schools, which operates 11 schools and has become the largest private education provider in Slovakia. Centres of expertise for lifelong learning are established at DSA schools. These centres serve as learning hubs for the industrial workforce. DSA Nitra is no exception.

Education at school is free of charge and the school has a close cooperation with the Dual Academy in Bratislava for the purpose of active exchange of know-how and teaching practices in the field of mechatronics and autotronics.

All our training programmes follow German examples and are adapted to Slovak standards, which makes it easy to transfer know-how to Slovakia. Study programmes are practice-oriented thanks to our partnerships with industrial companies.

These study programs also meet the requirements of the given company as well as the entire industrial sector.

Study programmes are provided in the form of dual education and in the study programmes provided in the traditional school system, elements of dual education are implemented. Education – school training is supplemented by work experience at industrial enterprises or specialized training at devices that simulate exact conditions in industry.

Thanks to our flexible approach and tailor-made services, we are able to adapt to the needs of the entire engineering and automotive industry. Sharing of experience and knowledge between the DSA school and partner companies ensures a sustainable model of continuous improvement of results. DSA Nitra is partner in education for businesses such as Jaguar Land Rover, Matador, Muehlbauer, Foxconn and others. Thanks to our know-how and exchange of experience within the DSA network, we train employees for the engineering and automotive industries.

DSA Nitra is focused on education in the field of CNC technologies and thanks to its quality it has obtained the status of the Centre of Vocational Education and Training in the field of CNC technologies. Our focus has expanded to include mechatronics, automation and we aspire to become the Center for company training for the automotive and engineering industries.

During 2019/2020, the Regional Training Centre of Robotic Technologies in Nitra was established at DSA Nitra, which is part of the school and represents the most modern and largest training hall in Slovakia with an area of almost 6,000 square meters, equipped with the latest technology simulating conditions directly in Slovakia Industry.
